Accounting Sino-Australian joint project of Business School audited by Chisholm Institute of Australia

On June 28, experts from Chisholm Institute of Australia, Mr. Geoffrey Hardwicke, Director of Quality Control and Supervision and Ms. Rachel Liu, Director of International Department, visited School of Business of SVU and audited the admission policy, project running process and teaching quality of accounting joint project. Wu Wenying, Dean of School of Business and Ni Aidong, Vice Dean of the school attended the audit and warmly welcomed the visit of Australian guests.
Wu Wenying and Ni Aidong respectively gave an introduction to School of Business and its curriculum system. Chen Tao, the Chinese coordinator of accounting joint project, introduced the cooperative achievements of the project in the aspects of student training, teaching team construction and project development in the past six years.
Based on the monitoring requirements of the Australian Skills Control Agency (ASQA) for overseas projects, this audit includes consulting teaching documents, checking the effectiveness of curriculum assessment tools, interviewing Chinese teachers and students, visiting teaching facilities and various other forms to comprehensively and thoroughly get the picture of the implementation process and teaching quality control system of the project. Australian experts highly affirmed the rigorousness and pragmatism of the quality control of the project, and were impressed by SVU’s curriculum development concept---to move with the times and also impressed by its advanced teaching and lab facilities.
Through the audit, the two sides exchanged ideas and fed back the practical problems in the course cooperation, and discussed about the bilingual teaching standards, Australian curriculum resources support and TAFE curriculum localization development.
This audit is a comprehensive test of the level and strength of the accounting joint project. It also lays a solid foundation for further cooperation between our school and Chisholm Institute in the future.
